Mallory & David

Mallory-
My F.A.B.,I've so enjoyed getting to know you these past few months and am so grateful that you are a woman who follows her heart despite the path! I'm thankful for your trust and your enthusiasm. It's exciting to see all the right ideas and pieces fall right into place to create the perfect day for you and David. I can't wait to see you beam with joy on September 24th! -xoxo, Shereen

Unflower power!
As I was thinking about your beautiful indoor/outdoor reception location at the Trump Waikiki Waiolou Restaurant, and I wanted to find something inexpensive, colorful and fun to create a bit of a wow-factor. Then it hit me!

Tissue paper pom poms from Pom Love come in different colors, sizes, prints and shades. They are just under $4 each and would look great  hung underneath the market umbrellas on the lanai or thrown the on the couches for some color! Perhaps we can even tie some down through the cracks on the center tables in small groups and they could serve as end pieces (instead of centerpieces).

Paper Lanters from Asian Import Store range from $1-$3 and come in lots of colors, sizes and shapes! We can mix and match the poms with the lanterns and have a lot of wow for a little cost!

I've seen a lot of great "photo booths" on the island, but all of them are the kind you would see at the mall. While they might be a great fit for some weddings I am working with two companies here on the island to create a Chic Wedding Photo Booth with  customizable backdrops and props to create a more eclectic and upscale look. The photo company I am working with not only provides prints for your guests to take home, but lighting to make them look great as well as a real life photographer to make sure the guests get shots they love!

The design company I am working with is creating custom wedding props and backdrops. I like the bold red stripes, or perhaps we could find just the stars! What about a vintage flag as the backdrop? Maybe wooden letters in your initials painted in your wedding colors or chalkboard hearts that people could write messages on.

Fingerprint Guest Book:
I love these guest book ideas because they are simple, fun and something new and fresh for your guests! Plus, unlike a traditional guest book you can display it as a piece of art that you will look at more than just once or twice. You can find a wide variety of them from different vendors on http://www.etsy.com/. I haven't seen them at a wedding yet-so I think the wow factor would be high! All of the elements including names, dates, ink colors, fonts can be customized to match your wedding palette.

Rain or Shine!
While we will all be praying for perfect sunshine and blue skies, I wouldn't be a good wedding planner if I didn't have at least some way for your guests to stay dry if mother nature decides to make rainbows during your vows. I found these cute and inexpensive umbrellas for under $3.50/piece at CKB Products Now the tricky part is shipping, which would bring them to about $6.50 a piece, but I think it's a great option. Perhaps after the wedding I can see if any of my fellow professionals in the industry would want to buy them from you at a discounted rate so you could recover some or all of your cost.

Flip Flop Photo Shoot!
Only $2.50/pair at Old Navy, this might be a great way to ensure ladies don't find themselves sinking in the sand! Plus I see a cute flip flop photo shoot in the making!

Stir it up!
Another simple, inexpensive bang for your buck. Striped paper straws for your welcome drink! $3.20/20 pack-you can't go wrong! Find them on Etsy at 62 Cards. I was thinking light green would look great!

The Writing's in the Sand
How fun to give guests a long stick to write wedding wishes in the sand!

Hostess with the Mostess There's nothing wrong with wanting to be both a gracious hostess and not wanting to feel sucker punched by the open bar tab at the end of your beautiful reception. At Moo.com you can print 100 full color/double sided mini cards for only $19.99. One one side you could say "Enjoy one on us!" or "Cheers" and on the other side you could have your names and date.  You can do a rainbow of colors (as pictured below) or do just your wedding colors. Another possibility would be to upload favorite photos of you and David (similar to picture on right) and on the back make mention of the complimentary cocktail. I have ordered cards like these from moo.com and they are cute, great quality, super easy and very affordable! I think if you make them fun-guests will enjoy receiving them and appreciate your thoughtfulness.
